Moving posts thing...

Not only does it make me feel like I am going crazy-- it is really annoying.

This is the first time it's actually happened to me, and I know other people have posted about it before.

I just posted a travel related question-- and when I went to look and see if there had been any response.. POOF, gone. I thought I was hallicunating that I actually posted.

I can see from an organization perspective why this would happen-- I work for an interactive ad agency-- I know that architeciture and user experience are of the utmost importance. But, if taking into account user behavior, most people post here and therefore, that is the behavior that the site should follow.

Ok, vent over.

By that reasoning, there should not be other forums then but that won't work either since the threads would be flying off the first page and most of them would probably be unanswered.

But I imagine it's shocking it happens so quickly, I saw your post on NFR and less then two minutes later saw it in the travel forum.

I don't know-- I agree that there should be different sections, but NFR is a gray area that sometimes you don't realize you should be posting it somewhere else.

Perhaps a warning message that tells you the post will be automatically moved to the proper board. Much in the same way that you get the warning if it's an old post. Then at least you know where you are posting and you are not looking for your post.

That sounds like a very complicated programming solution to posting in the wrong forum. I think all the posts getting moved around lately makes it clear posts will get moved to the correct forum if/when they are noticed.

And while I agree some posts fall into a grey area, others really dont. I would go with Nrthshrgirls cross-posting a link suggestion if you want to get the most responses possible.
