MR female assaulted by staff
Did anyone read this in the paper yesterday and today? That is horrible! Just when we were talking about S@cky staff yesterday , today I hear this. I am appalled. The abuser was 21 and the victim was 61. She hit her in the head with a disinfectant can resulting in lacerations and open wounds needed to be stapled. I cant get over the charge of "assault". I am sure this woman will be out walking the streets with a new job tommorrow.

Seriously, read it if you havent. I dont want to publicly humiliate the agency by stating which one. Its in newsday though and the staff member really should get a hard punishment. Evidence shos that she didnt only hit her with the aerosol can , it was like she diggied it into her head from the bottom. Sounds awful!!!!!!!! crazy people!!!

about 2 years ago a clinician from Family Residences took 3 MR patiences on a drug run to get her cocaine!
Like i said...this kind of thing goes on all the time...

sadly, this is nothing new...
I agree that this happens but I am once again SHOCKED AT THE LAW! what could ASSAULT possibly get her??? some probation, a yr? Assault to me is you and me fighting. 2 people that can comprehend what they are doing. Not a 21 yr old criminal and a 61 yr old woman that has an IQ similiar to a 1 yr old. This poor woman cant even tell her side because she cant speak and is not higher functioning. Personally I think this 21 yr old should be convicted as if she abused a child. Also RED, because you are in the field, ask around I hear she has worked for more then a few agencies! what a PSYCHO!
1 more thing to add....they found the can she used to hit this woman in the garbage with blood all over it! when was she going to call an ambulance? in the morning? It took the next morning staff to come in to find her like this. Hmmm...was she gonna hide it with a hat???
