So many people are praising 45 because he came out here and gave a speech about stopping the MS-13 gang. If it was anyone else, I would probably do the same. However, when the Liar-in-Chief makes a promise, there's no way I can believe that he'll follow through. He hasn't followed through with any of his promises to the people yet....

If MS-13 ever affects one of his properties, then we'll see the entire National Guard, and most of the military involved, but until that happens, "Actions speak louder than words."
*Do* something about MS-13, and I'll give him credit for it....

That speech was atrocious. Same old bag of hot air. He loves to tout alllllll of the things he's going to do meanwhile, has no plan or course of action. The ENTIRE speech was a lot of the same old Trump........ Election references, crowd size, bash the other branches of government, make stupid jokes, and patting himself on the back. He does these speeches to simply fuel his ego and hear himself talk. He says NOTHING of value. Ever.

Yup.

And his comments that police should rough up prisoners were disgusting. But I think I'm even more disgusted that the police behind him laughed and clapped.

And now police departments and police organizations are making public statements that they don't condone what the president said.

When else has there ever been a need for police departments to have to disavow what the POTUS said because it's the exact opposite of what the PD is supposed to stand for?

His remarks were ridiculous and the comment about roughing up prisoners was just disgusting. Very sad that the PD had to disavow it - even if many of the police in the crowd cheering or comment sections from News 12 or Newsday are any indication it would seem many people here on our "blood stained" island are actually for it.
And I find it so freaking amazing that so many people believe this is important to him in any way. It's yet another way to rile up his base and make it all an US vs THEM issue.
I heard story this on NPR the other day. It's really frightening what the unintended consequences of this all are.
