Mucussy Diarrhea in 8.5mo - Food Reaction, Virus or Teething?
My DS has had about 6 bowel movements since he woke up this morning and they have all been mucussy diarrhea (and lots of it!). I gave him a Veggie Mum Mum for the first time yesterday. Could this be a reaction to ir or do you think he might have a virus? IDK if I should call his ped or wait and see. Is there something that I can do for him?? If it's a virus, what other symptoms should I look for? He is also cutting his 4th and 5th tooth at the same time. Maybe this is the reason? I have no clue!! Help! Thanks.

Try not to give any dairy. It makes the pooping worse. White grape juice is good for diarrhea... Apple juice with a lot of water is ok. It sounds like a virus.. Just keep him hydrated and give hi binding foods. Banana's, rice, applesauce... Hope he feels better soon.

Thanks so much! Should I look for a fever with a virus? He's never been sick before.

There could be a fever. When DS had it, he never went over 100.8... Tylenol will be easier on his stomach... Let him eat when he wants to.. It shouldn't last more then 48 hours..
