Multivitamin/Prenatals?
I've been using a mult-vitamin for my pregnancy and thinking about switching to a prenatal vitamin? Does anyone have a favorite? I've been reading the nutrition on the boxes and they are all so different!! Does anyone supplement with any extras.....like calcium or omega 3's? I read cod liver oil is really good later in pregnancy, has anyone tried it?

Re: Multivitamin/Prenatals?
I just take the CVS prenatals, nothing supplemented. They work wonderfully for me, no side effects and cost about 8.99 for 100 pills

Re: Multivitamin/Prenatals?
I take the Duet DHA. It consists of 2 pills -- 1 prenatal vitamin (with 1mg of folic acid; which is what many doctors recommend to prevent Spina Bifida) and a second pill that contains DHA (which I believe is like the Omega-3 fatty acids). It is covered by my insurance so I pay $15 for a one month supply. If I ever got around to doing mail order, I could get a 3 month supply for just 2 co-pays ($30).

I would like to take something like that, yet I don't see the doctor til the end of next week. Til then I will have to stick with a prenatal/ multi vitamin plus I take extra folic acid.
