After a night club is burned down and a woman is found murdered in her car (shot twice in the head). You are introduced to 8 suspects who were close to the victim and all had a connection to the club. Then they are set loose to roam the boat and talk to passengers.

A buffet style dinner was served on a decent sized river cruise. The suspects were just like regular passengers who would come up to talk to you at the oddest moments (when you're standing in line for food, or drinks or to go to the bathroom). While they were talking to you, they were giving you information about what happened and about the other suspects. The more questions you asked them the more information you got and the closer you got to sloving the murder. The suspects never left character from the second they stepped on the boat and everything they did was a clue. So you had to pay attention.

But after 3 hours, alot of contradicting information and many drinks (people drink like fish on a cruise) the clues got all meshed together and most people just ended up guessing. There was a small bit were you got to speak over the microphone and try to convince the other passengers who the murderer was and why. Then the suspects starting confessing. One by one they would tell what thier part was until only the murderer was left. There were a few twists, some of the suspects weren't who they seemed and the killer was the least obvious.

If you guessed right you recieved a mug and a free trip for 2 on a sightseeing cruise in the fall. ( Beautiful to watch the colors change.) They took a picture of everyone getting onto the boat and you had the option to buy after you got off.

If you like cop shows and word puzzles you would love it. But if you don't like being the detective, you might get bored.

Final Word: Nice if you need to get out of the house, great for large groups (there were 15 of us). Fantastic views of the Hudson River at sunset. The food was pretty good, but not worth the $45. I wouldn't go on another Mystery Cruise, but I would go on another trip with the company. It was a lot of fun.
