My 1 months old is sucking her thumb! Help...
How do i stop this? I was hoping we wouldn't have to deal with thumb sucking. Im a dental assistant and i know what thumb sucking does to developing teeth and erupted teeth.
Anything i can do??

It may be temporary. She is still very young to get into a pattern of doing things. Wait a few days and see if she will stop. In the meantime have you tried giving her a paci?

I wouldn't worry about it. DS sucked his thumb awhile, but has and stopped (on his own). His teeth have come in just fine--I was dismayed to read that the adult teeth won't necessarily be the same! They are very straight, no overbite.
So don't worry. DC is learning to self-soothe, which is a good thing.

way too young to worry. My DS did it for a brief period at like 3 mos. Now he never does (7.5 mos).
