My 1st day at the gym - why is it always an "adventure" with me?
So, after 5 years without a gym membership, I decided it was time. I found one in my SAHM budget and it has a daycare person.
So we go this morning to "check it out" and make sure this is working for both me and DS. As I enter the daycare to drop DS, he had pooped. A BIG ONE! Of course, the only time I don't bring a diaper bag is the time I need one. I had brought 1 diaper and left it in the car. So right back to the car we go. I don't have wipes of course. But I had tissues. That part is TMI!!! As I am changing DS, a ?*#^!@ piece of poop falls off and lends UNDER the seat. Not reachable. Too bad, I did not have time. Left the dirty diaper in the car and back to the gym we went. The daycare in only open for a certain time in the morning. Drop DS back. Talk about pricing. Ask for a free trial. Do the treadmill. Take DS back (he actually like it) to go home and decide which membership to get. To many options!!!! Go home! Car smelled like poop all over. Feed DS in a hurry. EI is coming at 3pm. He still did not take a nap. Take the diaper out of the car. "luckily" the poop under the car "rolled" to the edge while I was driving and it was "reachable". Grab a tissue, "missed" on the grabing part and get poop on my hands. Go inside in disguss and wash my hands VERY hard.
Then I get a call. It's the gym. Apparently, I had forgotten to take my driving license back. I hate when they ask for your card because I forgot all about it. So hop we go. Get dressed again. Get DS in the car. Got to gym. Decide to enroll then since I knew which membership I want. I hear "boom". It's DS who climbed out of his stroller and fell on the floor. No cries! He is a happy camper to be out of the stroller. Good I did not have time for the ER!
So we are back home. LIPA just rang the doorbell twice. Dogs go nuts barking. I can't find the keys to the gate. He had to go through the house. Insane barking from the dogs. DS is still not sleeping. Poor ABA therapist!! Should be an interesting session.
I plan on going 2-3 times per week.

Sophie - it sounds like my day yesterday!
It's great that you're going back to the gym, I am going to be an addict once #2 is born!

I can freeze the membership if I am PG again.

Re: My 1st day at the gym - why is it always an "adventure" with me?
Haha...sounds like some of my days! Good for you for joining the gym! I had a rough first month or so when I first joined and DD was going to the daycare there. I would get halfway through my workout and the daycare people would come into whatever class I was in and pull me out b/c DD had either pooped or was crying hysterically. I ALMOST canceled my membership, but after I took the advice of the ladies on the boards here, I decided to stay and now she loves it. It's so nice to have "me time" and she gets socialized at the same time. It's something I look forward to although I only get there about 3/week.
