My 35 week appt (long, cuz I was tired and stupid)

Ok, as per my other post.. I was more than exhausted at this visit.

I am up 2lbs a week at total of 34lbs (or as my hubby says “You’re heavier than me”)

Tired as I was.. I said too much.

The new nurse was complimenting me on my ring (see my post about swollen hands fake jewelry) and I say “Oh yeah, thanks $10 bucks at Kohls” The look on her face told it all, then she says “Oh, cause my wedding band is identical” I felt like such a doob.

Then the Nurse Practitioner comes in, tells me the baby’s is breech and I have to do another sono this week (yeah). I’m all like…“Yeah, fine, C-section works, whatever” My hubby is in the room literally laughing at me and has to tell the doc I’m tired. NP is telling me how it’s a painful recovery, etc and I said “So you want me to not have a c-section if she’s breech? Or are you saying vaginal birth is so less painful than c-section?” So we are on a “wait and see” thing. Now she’s laughing at me too. Nothing was said mean, but I’m so out of it.

So I ask (I don’t know why I ask, but I do) What’s the game plan for these last few visits. Don’t I have to start seeing you guys every week? Do ya’ll do internals, Hey what about the Strep B.

What was I thinking???

She’s now seriously looking at me like I’m crazy! “Wow, you really want to know?”

So
#1, If I hadn’t mentioned it, I wouldn’t have had to make an appt for next week, but since I did.. Yes, I’m on a weekly schedule now
#2, Can’t do an internal if she’s breech so we’ll have to wait and see, but if I wasn’t breech next week is the time for the internal.
#3 You did your Strep B, it was negative, she says.

Ok, here’s where I’m stupid… I say “I haven’t done my Strep B”
She says – you do it in the beginning and later on
“Yeah, but I haven’t had my feet in stirrups since my first visit”
Ha!

So now she’s searching my chart.. Sure enough, I haven’t had the Strep B test yet. So guess who got hers done last night???

Seriously ladies.. sleep is not to be underestimated! Hahaha

Cool thing is, I was telling my hubby to relocate himself (he was in CLEAR view) and she says “No worries, he won’t see a thing and your feet don’t even go in the stirrups”. She was right.. it was super duper fast and my exit only was left alone!!!

Oh and next week is the last week my doc is around then he’s on Vacation for two weeks! Hahaha what a visit!

what a visit you had. And its not your fault you didnt know her wedding ring was only $10 , her DH is gonna get in trouble for that one.

Sounds like a great visit!! That sucks that your doc is going on vacay.

From what it sounds like- You seem to be on top of things more then your doctor....
