my 37 week update

had my first internal = OUCH. i read it would be uncomfortable but i didn't think it would hurt that much. i hope the rest arent as bad? I am "almost" a fingertip dilated. The baby is in good position and that's about it.

Sono measures baby at 6lbs 14oz today. My sugar and blood pressure were fine. I go back Thursday for another NST and from now on will see doc twice a week. They're monitoring us closely due to the GD - they want to make sure the baby does not get too big and i guess they're watching my blood pressure because my feet, ankles and calves are VERY swollen... They worry about fluid levels if they go over 25 and mine are 23 today.

I hope i make progress soon...

ETA. I am positive for Group B strep

Those internals can be pretty painful..or they can be nothing. They get more painful as you get towards the end.

It am sorry the internal was uncomfortable. I am glad to hear the the rest of the appointment went well. Good luck with your appointment on Thursday.

Happy to hear it went well! The more progressed you are, the less those internals will hurt. I hope your swelling calms down for you!

happy to hear all is well!! don't worry about the group b - they will just give you antibiotics when you go into labor.

i have been getting internals for a long time now because of my early contractions. they used to be very uncomfortable, but now that i am progressed they don't hurt at all. so maybe yours will get better too
