My 6 month old wants to be a crawler or walker (though not doing either yet obviously!)

I swear, she watches her big sister buzzing all over the house, and the baby tries lunging out of our arms all the time to get down on the ground....she's NOT happy about not being able to move around yet....gets cranky that she can't just go, go, go after her sister!

Seriously, it's no wonder that many times second siblings are mobile quicker.

My DD is an only child and she is the same way!
She gets so cranky and so frustrated just sitting around.
I try to put her down to crawl ands he gets pizzed. She would rather I hold her hands so she can take steps! Chat Icon
I feel like this is a hard age for her- she wants to do so much- but is trapped in a baby's body! Chat Icon

Sounds like my DS. He is 6 mo too. We put him on the floor and he gets into crawling position and starts to rock. Then he sees my older DS run around and he just lunges forward. Thank God we have carpets and his fall is cushioned but now we make sure that he has a pillow in front of him so he doesn't bang up his face.

He gets so mad that he can't follow my DS everywhere.

My DS was the same way as well. Once he started moving, his teacher at daycare even commented as to how much happier he seemed!

Luke is ready to go too! I never saw Elizabeth rock the way posters talk about, but Luke has been doing it nonstop lately... usually while on his changing table Chat Icon He can't wait to go go go!

I'm going to have to start changing his diapers on the floor before he jumps..

I swear it's so true! Gregory had been watching Lucas so intently and now he's a madman crawling around after him.

I know they aren't popular...but Jessie needed her walker at that age. She just chased Josh all over the house in that thing.

Sometimes I feel like my DD would love that.
We are in a ranch with NO stairs at all so the falling down the stairs issue isn't a problem.
But i feel like it would get caught up on the carpet to tile transition we have throughout the house...

If I had a more open layout, I'd be all over this.

Me too...the only stairs in our house have a top-of-the-stairs gate, so she'd be safe....but it just wouldn't fit in our house. Chat Icon
