He is 6 months old and he has 105 fever which he has had for a few days and they cant get it to break. He had severe diarrhea with a lot of blood in it. Hes vomitting, but actual like adult kind. Theyve been in the ER with him now bc hes so dehydrated and sick......hes on an IV for fluids, which took an hour to get in bc hes veins have collapsed. They think he has some kind of bacteria in his intestines but have to wait for the culture to grow to find out.
I just feel so bad for her, this is the same friend whos first son was a preemie and in the NICU and got a staph infection and they almost had to amputate his arm when he was a newborn. Plus with her DS that is sick now she was on bedrest for 3 months with him bc he kpet failing his NSTs and BP profiles.
She just cant catch a break. So many of us are so lucky to never have a sick child in the hospital and here she is again, both of her children have spent time in the hospital.
