My biggest fear.
I am so afriad that I will go to one of my monthly doctor's appts and they will just tell me without any warning signs (cramping, bleeding, etc...) that I've lost the baby.
Is that an actual possibility??

Re: My biggest fear.
I used to think about that all the time.
It's completely normal....you just have to hope for the best. I got a lot more calm when the babies started to move alot. Now they move all day and I don't worry as much.

Re: My biggest fear.
I still worry about this too. Especially since I don't feel anything yet. I had my 16 wk appt yesterday and I have to say I was aching with this fear until we heard the HB. Also, I don't know if it's possible either...I guess if I knew that it would help ease my fears too.

Re: My biggest fear.
It's a totally normal fear but as each day passes your risk of m.c lessens so try not to drive yourself crazy. I know it's hard! Even at 28 weeks I worry but you can't live in fear!

Re: My biggest fear.
This is my fear as well. I was at the doctor yesterday and it took her a minute to "find" the heartbeat. Then she had this really serious look on her face while she was listening to it. I think I actually stopped breathing, but she told me everything seems to be looking great.
On the way home, was moving all over the place because she had been pressing down on my stomach. I think she interrupted his nap!!!

I feel the same way. I just came from the doctor, and it took him a minute or two to find the heartbeat with the doppler, and I stopped breathing, too. Luckily, he found it right after and everything is fine. I don't think this feeling ever goes away, even after the baby is born!

Re: My biggest fear.
I worry about this constantly! I look forward to my OB appointments, but at the same time, dread going in for my sono and getting horrible news. It's the absolute worst fear

Re: My biggest fear.
I fear this 100% because with my first preg. same thing happened. we went to hear heart beat again and nothing. Granted i was VERy early and the heart beat had just started beating. I think this has a lot to do with the reason why i burst into tears when i see the doctor before she does anything.

Re: My biggest fear.
All I did was worry the 1st tri b/c I (luckily) had absolutely no signs of PG except some occasional cramping. I worried everyday something was or went wrong. When that 12 week appt came, I was never so relieced to hear/see the HB. I worry a lot less now that I'm about 20 weeks.
"They" say your chances of m/c are very slim after you hear the HB at 8 weeks, so try not to worry so much.

Re: My biggest fear.
it's so normal...but please try to think positive! Maybe you'll feel better once you can feel the baby moving around. I'm not going to lie...I still get worried everyday and pray that the baby is ok (even though all my tests have come back great) but lately she's been moving around so much that helps to put my mind at ease. You're not crazy for thinking this way...sometimes I think there is too much information out there and people can drive themselves crazy, me being one of them! Feel good and enjoy your pregnancy!!!

Re: My biggest fear.
Awwww I remember feeling that way until 22 weeks or so, at that point I kind of 'exhaled' and knew he was ok... But if you're REALLY stressing, you might think about renting or buying a fetal HB monitor?? Some ladies do that just for the 'peace of mind'? It might really help if you're worrying all time, at least until you can feel the movement??

I have a HB monitor and it did help me to keep my sanity in the weeks before I could feel moving around.

Re: My biggest fear.
I was petrified throughout the first trimester...
at 5.5 weeks, I had a bright red spotting incident. I was paranoid throughout the remaining 1st trimester that the placenta would detach
in the 2nd trimester, I was paranoid that my cervix was incompetent, since it's my first child and my cervix was never 'tested out'.
ever since scone started moving, I've been more calm. if I get nervous, I just drink something cold and Scone kicks about

Re: My biggest fear.
You are absolutely not alone! I had my first appointment today & one of the first things I asked my midwife was if it was likely for the baby to not be okay even if I've had no bleeding & I still have MS. I ended up being able to hear the heartbeat which eased my mind a little, but I know I'm going to be nervous at every appointment until I start feeling regular movements.

Re: My biggest fear.
I think about this too... for about a week or so I felt consistent movement every night, but haven't felt anything for the past 2 days now, and today I have pressure/pain in the lower abdomen.. although no bleeding and the pain isn't even unbearable, my mind still immediately think about the worst
