My boss asked me...
...for the 50th time if I am coming back after maternity leave. I am definately coming back (unless they screw me in my bonus...then I will just look for another job). Even if I wasn't coming back, like I would tell him before my leave and bonus. 
Anyway, I told him of course I am. But now I'm thinking that I shouldn't sound so sure and maybe they will be a little more generous on my bonus...kind of like an incentive for me to come back.
What do you think?

I would want them to think that I'm coming back. Even if I change my mind towards the end of my maternity leve, I wouldn't let on about it.

yea i agree with this totally.. let them think what they want even if its not what you plan on doing..

yea i agree with this totally.. let them think what they want even if its not what you plan on doing..
I agree. Sometimes if they think you may not come back back fires!!!

I would stick with "coming back". If you are iffy, they might find a replacement in the meantime or while you are out, and then you get no bonus - bummer!

You are all absolutely right. I just don't like them to think that I NEED this job. I do need A job, but not THIS one. does that make sense?

Definately stick with 'of course i'm coming back'...even if you're not 100% sure. I'm not even sure he's allowed to be asking you that question, but I think all bosses ask anyway.
