My co-worker told me something today
A co-worker told me today that its only 8 more weeks till christmas!!!  I said can we get through today and Thanksgiving.

nope 8 i doubled counted it. Christmas is on a monday this year and i counted from november 6 till dec 25th

Christmas IS exactly 8 weeks from today, 10/31. I don't know where everyone is getting 7 from. 
ETA: okay, not exactly..it is 7 weeks and 6 days from today - close enough!

As far as counting the week you are in --- for me if there are only a few days left in the week, I don't count it --- but if most of the days are left -- it's counted.
So 7 weeks 6 days is pretty much most of the week and I'd count that as 8 weeks!
