He says he just wants to spend time with me and my boys. But I can't send him home without seeing some Big Apple sites. He may only be here from a Friday through Sunday evening. Any ideas that won't be too hectic?

I would take him to a show...take the train in early, walk around a bit, and go see something fun...like rock of ages or something...then maybe dinner? There are soooo many places to go!

My best friend lives in Texas & she came up for the first time ever in high school. We did Empire State Building observation tower, walked around Times Square, went down to Battery Park (& saw the Statue across the harbor---not up close & personal); ate hot dog from vendor on the street.
Maybe you could do one of those double decker buses though, they go throughout the city in a couple of hours.
What part of Texas is he from?

Good ideas! Thanks!! He's from Beaumont (southeast part of TX, not too far from Louisiana)

i usually bring out of towners on the staten island ferry so they can get good photo ops of the statue of lberty and downtown nyc. i also like to bring them to the apple store and tiffanys.

I'd say Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park....and the stores/sights that are around there...
