My daughter had her baby
My daughter was due next sat. Apr. 11 , but the baby had other plans. I got a call at 6am on Apr. 1st (yes April fools day!) but it was no joke. She had bee getting contractions during the night. I went there at 7:30 to take care of my 41/2 yr. old granddaughter. They left cor the hospital around 9am. My son in law texted me at 10:30, she was 3 cm. then he called me at 11:45 to say she was 6 cm and it was going fast, that we should come to the hospital. We got there around 12:45 in the afternoon and I was allowed to be in the delivery room again like I was with my first granddaughter. Leah Elizabeth was born @2:02 pm on April 1 weighing in at 6 lbs. 11 oz. and 20" long. She's tiny, but beautiful (of course) she didn't want to wait ill after Easter, so she got to spend her first Easter with her family.
We didn't know her name until after she was born. They allowed my granddaughter to go up to be with her mom, dad and new sister and spend some bonding time together then she came out and announced her name to us. Very exciting!

Thanks everyone! It has been quite a week. So far my granddaughter seems to be adjusting well. She loves this baby so much. She loves holding her, kissing her, feeding her the bottle. Let's see how long this lasts! Thanks again.
