My daycare update....
So Jay and his mom had a long talk before Xmas eve (we go there for a big dinner) and Jay suggested that we put them in Day care and she got so oofended and begged and pleaded that she WANTS to watch the boys.
She said she was upset with jay because when he is not working on the bathroom upstairs and our master bedroom so we can finally put the boys in their cribs, that Jay doesnt come over to visit them???
Uh hello he sees them everyady at 2:30 when I pick them up.
Also that tyheri are things that she needs to get done and they HAVE to be picked up no later than 3pm...that is fine and acceptable, but to abide by the way we ant things done.
She got mad because I told her NOT to use fabric softener in theri laudary when she washes theri clothes. She put so much in that their clothes feel so oily
The conversation went on for a long time.
So Xams eve I felt very uncomforatbel there, and she kept insisting that we change bottles because he is i=on the rice cereal in his bottle and it makes such a mess, and she said like 4 times that he is getting to much too fast isnt there a slower moving nipple, I finally said ....No , it is what it is.
We also call Christopher "monkey" as a nickname and she yelled at us...and said "Dont call him that, it will stick with him"!!!!!
I will call my son whatever I want.
Well, they are going to watch them Mon-Thursday and Jay will watch them on Fridays......I told Jay I still want to put them in daycare...so the saga continues..................

imo if your ILs can't respect the way you parent your children then they are better off in daycare. no one should ever undermine parents!

Can you get a spot in daycare & alternate who goes? That way each with get exposure to others, sharing, etc and your MIL will only have 1.
I know my mom is 61 and taking care of a baby for work. It's physically tough for her.
I'm glad you gave her the daycare option. It sounds like she wants to help out & see her grandkids. It's just more than she bargained for.

I know....I have always said if it was too much to tell us, but she got OFFENDED when we said we wanted to put them in daycare......
Im just so tired of all the comments...then when Christopher was sleeping during dinner, the fire alarm went off and she ran and yelled at my FIL to take the batteries out and not wake them, I said it was ok, and then yelled well if he wakes up then YOU take deal with him...saying it to my FIL
Uh hello, he is my son...Im capable of taking care of him myself....
