My DD is acting like an addict going through withdrawal....
....because we took away her pacifier! She's literally moaning "I neeeeeeeed it!" and she can't sleep and just cries. Please tell me how long it took your kid to forget about it because it's only been 1 day for us and I am losing my mind!

When we took it away, it took DS about a week to stop losing his mind.

 how old is she? i'm too  to even tell how old my DD was when we took the paci away...lets just say she was WAY too old for it so the transition wasn't so bad..
anyway, i think you just have to hang in there. it's not easy. change is not always easy and takes a few days sometimes. hang in there! she will adjust.
i also used the "paci fairy"to make it a bit easier....left a few little gifts and a note to make it more of a fun thing.
