My DH is getting soo cheap lol..

I was talking to him about invitations to our DD Baptism. He tells me why dont you just go to Target and get invitations and just fill in the date and place (like you do for a birthday party)Chat Icon Chat Icon

I said you are one cheapo.. I asked why didnt we do that for our wedding then?-- He said "why didnt we?".. He just doesnt see whats wrong with that idea...Chat Icon Chat Icon

I don't think there's anything wrong with the idea. I didn't do it for my son's Christening, but if I got one in the mail I wouldn't think Oh man, that person is cheap.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I personally wouldn't use them for a christening invitation but if somebody else did then I wouldn't think anything of it...

I did that with both my kids. I got Christening invites from Party City, really nice ones and filled them out.
What would be wrong about that?

ditto! I like to make my own invites for things because I like to *try* to be creative, but I see nothing wrong with store bought ones. Isn't that what people did back when we didn't have digital cameras and Shutterfly Chat Icon

Don't want to sound mean but people will throw away the invitation anyway after the event.

Target has some really cute invitation kits where you print them out yourself. You get 50 invitations for $19.99!
