My dog chewed on an ant trap- HELP
I am so nervous, we had to put an ant trap by the back glass door and I ran to the bathroom, while I'm in there I hear crunching. Run out & my dog was chewing it! Poked some holes in it and chewed it a bit, but didn't bite off any pieces. I am so scared! I called the # on the trap & the recording said the amount of poison typically does not affect animals but I am still so upset. My dog is about 40 lbs. Any have any experience with this? Please tell me she is going to be fine

She'll probably be ok... Katie did the same thing. I called the company and they said it was such a tiny amount of poison, it wouldn't do much harm, the big concern was the plastic.
ETA: Katie was about 15lbs when this happened
I should mention I have since removed all ant traps and taught her to kill them on command.

Re: My dog chewed on an ant trap- HELP
She will be ok!!!! My 7 lb Chihuahua got hold of an ant trap once. It's one of the ones that smell like peanut butter. Well she ate most of the ant poison. We called the animal emergency poison control and they said ant traps don't have enough poison to harm a dog. Your baby will be fine!
