My dog is limping ***Update
Thanks all for your help on my other post. Unfortunately I think it is Lymes. When I was away my MIL said that my dog had a small rash, but said it did not seem like anything, and since I was away I thought it was just nerves. I totally forgot about this until people brought up Lymes and I started to research it and she seems to have all the signs.
I started to cry at work when I read it . I feel so guilty (I am VERY attached to my dog . I have been through a lot this past few years and she has been my best friend. Sad I know)
Can anyone tell me what is going to happen now? Is she going to be on perscription for the rest of her life? Is there going to be permanent damage? I am freaking out.
TIA

Bring your dog to the vet before jumping to any conclusions.

First, take your dog to the vet and let them evaluate her. Don't go soley by what you've read.
Secondly, stop beating yourself up. You're a good fur-mom and these things happen, dogs get sick, it's a part of life.
I hope she's ok and gets the help she needs!!

You can't be sure so don't panic. Even if it is, dogs can be treated much more successfully than humans. Plus from the research I did, I don't think dogs get the same rash as humans do (could be wrong but I read that).
A simple blood test will tell and the dog would be treated on antibiotics. Please take your dog to the vet and don't panic, you really can't be sure.

Re: My dog is limping ***Update
I have an appointment today with the vet. But I KNOW it is Lymes. I mentioned it to DH and he said that is what he thought but he did not want to scare me because he knows how I get about Kasey (my dog).
I am just glad that she was running around yesterday. From what I read that is a good sign. I normally don't freak out about stuff, I am a calm person, but for some reason when things happen to Kasey I freak. I never thought I would be like that with an animal. My mother always says to me if I am like this with my dog, imagine how I will be when I have kids

When my Sheltie had lymes they kept her for the day. She had the same symptoms. They kept her on fluids and gave her a series of shots. THey sent her home with Doxycyline. SHe had to take that for about 2 weeks. THen we brought her back for a lymes shot.
She shouldn't have to be on meds for the rest of her life. Just for a couple of weeks maybe. My Cinny was fine after a few days. This was about 3 or 4 years ago. Has never had a problem since
ETA: Don't freak out. I'm sure she will be fine

If it is Lymes the dog will recover, it is not lifetime medication.
