My dog ran over my belly
This is an odd question. I was laying down on my bed last night and my DH decided to put one of the puppy on the bed.
He ran over my belly to lick my face. That was NOT a good feeling.
I have felt a lot of pressure. Baby is moving as usual.
Since I have been walking a lot for the past few days, I think that may have something to do with it.
Should I call the Dr., just in case????

Re: My dog ran over my belly
Sure you can call. They might even tell you to come in for a sono as a precaution but I'm sure you're just fine

Re: My dog ran over my belly
Honestly? My dog does this all of the time, no matter how much we yell at her not to. But she is only 17lbs, so I don't really get THAT upset about it and I try to move or push her off when I see her coming.
I'd rest and if you still feel crappy in the morning call the dr then.

He is about 21 Lbs. I guess I startled too by the surprise and that probably worried me.

Re: My dog ran over my belly
Oh don't get me wrong, it still hurts (she just did it right now across my belly and the laptop if that makes you feel better )
I think it is probably going into the city and just being more tired than usual. He just wanted to give you love, Maggie is the same way. She actually sleeps close to my belly a lot and the baby kicks her, its funny.

Re: My dog ran over my belly
I had to start wearing a maternity belt b/c of the pressure from walking [due to the fact that I have a desk job and my body doesn't get used to the weight when I am up for longer periods of time.]. It helps some.

Re: My dog ran over my belly
My 20 pound cat has jumped on my belly, and sprung off my belly (if you have ever felt a cat "spring" they push down very hard) - it was uncomfortable, but I never felt affected by it in any way - I am sure you are fine!

That happens with me a lot. I never even thought to call. Everything seems fine.

Re: My dog ran over my belly
Scout jumps on my belly about 5 times a day.... and he's over 40 lbs now. I went to the OB yesterday (regular appt., not because of the dog!!) and everything looks great..
I wouldn't worry about it. The amniotic sac protects them.

Re: My dog ran over my belly
My 36 lb. son jumped directly on my pelvis. I asked doctor about at my next visit, he said not to worry. I think you have to be seriously ijusred for damage to be done. But if you call tomorrow, maybe you'll get a sonogram....always nice to see the babe. If you still have bathersome symptoms, I would call, just to be safe.

Re: My dog ran over my belly
My 25 pound dog used my belly for a spring board a few time during my first - and it HURTS, but they are very protected in there.
DS started flopping on my belly too, but now we told him there is a baby in there he is gentle - too bad dogs can't understand that!
