My dr is 9' x9' and attached to my non-eat in kitchen...
What kind of table and chairs would you get?
Its between a small round with 4 chairs or a small square or a square pub table.
Thoughts?

I think a round table is better, it allows you to put extra folding chairs if neeeded to fit 6.

We have a dr/lr and have an Crate and Barrel round table with Ikea Chairs. We save $400 by getting the DIY chairs. They match the table and no one can tell the difference.

I would go with a round table.

definitely round - when I was in a apt (Jr 4) I got an oval with 2 leaves. I never used the leaves until I moved to the house.
I'd also suggest pedestal

Is iit a dinette? A longer, more narrow table is probably best, with a leaf so that you can add to the length if you have company.

Round take up my surrounding area. I have a small dining room (like 10x9) and I bought a rectangular table that has 2 levels. Level #2 pulls out and up from the bottom to double the size of the table. Works nicely!

You could do a round table with the dropped sides. We didn't use the sides when it was just the two of us but if we were having another couple over for company we put up the sides and could fit more people.
We got our old table from Target.
