PS Keep Tylenol on standby just in case he gets a low grade fever. It's totally normal.

I gave Vincent Tylenol right away after the shot to ease any discomfort. Maybe you will be lucky and he will be like my DS who cried for 2 seconds until I picked him up and then he was fine. It will definately hurt you more than him. Be prepared to cry more than he does!

You should expect to feel more traumatized than he probably will.
It was torture for me to have to hold her down for the shots, I cried like a big old baby.
Taylor's appt was in the afternoon and she slept all day and night. I agree with keeping Tylenol on hand.
If you don't have any, you can get it at the pharmacy at HMG. They are awesome and fast.

When DD got her shots, I looked into her face directly - I didn't want to see the shots going in.
Our ped actually gave us a box of infant tylenol and said not to hesitate in using it. For us, that first night was the worse.

I gave DS Tylenol for 24 hours after he had his. I noticed that he slept ALOT the day he got them, and his little thighs were a bit swollen where he was given the shots. The actual shots were not as bad as I thought it would be (for me) as soon as I picked him up he was fine.

Our doctor gave DD tylenol in the office a few minutes before the shots and told us to give it to her four hours later and again another four hours later. She slept pretty much the rest of the day and night, waking for bottles and back to sleep. Good Luck!!

ig your dc uses a pacifier have her suck on it while getting a injection, It releases endorphines that makes it less painful they claim...
my kids do not use one..I hate shot time,,

my dd only screams for a second, and then once we pick her up shes stops. I think she crys more for the fact that the nurse is holding her leg still, than the actual shot.
Sammie is getting her 4m shots today.. I no reactions..
I also your ds doesnt have reactions too.
