My DS just took 20 years off my life!
A little while ago, my little strong man decided to do chin up on my computer desk (trying to get the key board I'm sure). He came down, mouth open, severing his upper lip frenulum. He is ok now and the pediatrician just said tylenol....it didn't bleed for long and I gave him an ice pop.
Apparently this is more common than I thought - any other parent go through this traumatic experience??

So glad he's ok. My DS has had a number of bloody lips. I try to keep ice pops in the fridge for just that reason.

Glad he is okay! I have definitely been there---I will never forget when my son fell and bit his tongue--it wouldn't stop bleeding and we ended up in the ER! If your son is anything like mine, this is just the beginning!!!

This also happened to my niece before she was one, doing the same thing my DS was doing!! 
Her's bleed like crazy too....first she went to the ped. then she went to the ER......
In the end, it reattached itself!!

OMG....he doesn't stop!! If he's not climbing over things and on top of things, he is getting stuck under things
