My father is getting discharged today
After close to 3 weeks in the hospital post-heart surgery, he's getting discharged today to rehab. The rehab center is .6 miles from my house, so tonight, for the first time in 3 weeks, he'll see Alex. She misses him terribly, and asks for him every day - over the weekend, she asked for him again, and I told her, "Alex, baba has a booboo in his heart, so he isn't home right now, but he'll be home soon". She said "baba booboo" and started crying 
The best part is that ever since I brought up the idea about the independent living facility, he's SO excited. He keeps asking me about it, and asking when we can go take a look at them. 
I think I can start breathing again
