My FIRST baby turns 10 today....
<------- I can't believe it! Such a reality today... When my son's in college the new one will only be in like 4th grade... holy CRAP!!! Anyone else have or will have kids with such a big gap?? I'm so nervous they will never have that "bond"! He's already asking if he's going to have to drive the baby all over the place!!

I have two sisters that are 13 and 11 years older than I am and a brother who is 8 years older than I am. They cared for me as an infant and a small child. I suppose the gap between childhood and post college years, I was sort of on my own, As children, it was as if I was raised alone as my oldest sister started college the same year I started kindergarten and the others followed soon after. It was as adults that we formed a different type of bond and got closer. To this day, they say I had it easier and that they paved the way for me.

Thanks for all the wishes!! I'm glad I'm not alone out there! It just seems like such a big difference! I can only hope that my kids will have the same bonds like all of you have, that's great! Thanks!

Its my sons 10th B'Day today too!!!
He has a brand new baby sister- 2 months old, whom he absolutely ADORES. Your son will bond too because he'll be the "big brother" a role any boy loves,regardless of age.

I have two older brothers one is 6 years older than me and the other is 10. I can remember vividly my brother leaving for college and I was in third grade. We are so close though so the age difference doesn't matter!

Mine turned 8 a couple of weeks ago so there is a large age difference. He's excited though and I think he will be a good helper.
