My First Month Temping--Chart Questions (sorta LONG)!

hi ladies! so i took the plunge and started to temp this month! i think my LP is on the shorter side so i wanted to temp to see if there is cause for concern.

so far temping has been pretty easy....but....i think i screwed up today i usually take my temp at 5:45am when DH's alarm goes off, but this morning, i woke up at 4am to go pee and couldn't fall back asleep. so, just in case i didn't fall asleep, i took my temp and it was 97.2 (MUCH higher than my previous temps). then i did fall back asleep and took my temp again at 6:30. it was even HIGHER then...97.27. so that's the temp i charted. did i totally mess up!?! will FF still be able to detect my O? today was my first day getting my high reading on the CBEFM so i know i haven't surged yet and i usually get my peak reading around cd13-15. i'm just worried that since my temp was so high this morning that it won't go much higher when i DO ovulate and then my chart won't show crosshairs

i hope this makes sense! thanks if you read this far! and thanks for any insight

if its just one day and its noted being at a weird time (hence the open circle) it will be fine. also since you use other methods like CBEFM to detect O - FF takes all of that into account when detecting O and giving you crosshairs.

also in case you didnt know - FF wont give you crosshairs until you have 3 days of high temps post-O. so dont be alarmed if you KNOW you O and your crosshairs don't appear right away.

I'd probably just discard that temp (I believe there's a box you can check for that). One temp won't throw everything off, don't worry!

FYI, if that happens again (getting at 4 to pee), I suggest temping BEFORE you get out of bed. That'll be a way more accurate temp.

thanks ladies i promised myself that if i started temping, i wouldn't overanalyze my temps each day and would just wait until the end of the cycle to see the pattern but of course i'm studying my chart already like it's gonna tell me some secret if i break the code
