My first ultrasound today! ***Update at bottom***
AHHHHHHHHH! I am excited to hear babylicious' heart beat. I'm also a little nervous.
What should I expect? How long does it take?
I couldn't sleep last night, I was too excited!

YAY!!! Enjoy. My first sono was about 5-10 minutes. We got to see the baby, which was hard to tell it was a baby at the time and also heard the heartbeat. We were told the due date and she took some measurements of the baby. It was amazing. Enjoy!!

Mine took about 15-20 minutes. I had to empty my bladder because it was so full! They take all kinds of measurements...we did hear the baby's heartbeat!

i think it will be an internal but it didnt bother me at all, it looks intimidating but its not bad at all, you are pretty distracted looking at the screen. i dont knwo how far along you are, i was about 6 weeks when i had my first one so it didnt look like much but we got to see the heartbeat flickering

Update: It went great!!! We saw the babylicious (which looks more like a chicken nugget then a babylicious) And saw and heard the heartbeat! The tech wasn't sure if she would be able to pick it up, but she did! She said I may be measuring a couple days less than I thought I was, but she isn't going to change anything until the doctor decides to.
My first appt with the dr will be on 2/8. I feel so much better knowing that everything is ok. That was the coolest moment ever, DH was so excited too!

I'm glad it went well!!!!!!!!!
Fwiw, I thought I O'd on cd41 based on symptoms/beta numbers/BD schedule which would have given me an EDD of 8/22 but since I was irregular they based my EDD off of the sono which put me at 7w and an EDD of 8/24.

I saw a tANK TOP at destination maternity at carle place that said babylicious!!! You have to get it!!!
