My friend is so annoying!
I posted new pictures on my MySpace page (the family pic that is my avatar). She posts a comment about the picture asking where my wedding rings are  I have told her a MILLION times that they dont fit. I had to take them off when I was pregnant and even 8 1/2 months later they are still a little snug. She is so annoying!!! She recently got engaged and thinks her friggin ring defines her relationship. Even at my baby shower in front of everyone (50 friends and family) "Oh, my god...you're not wearing your wedding rings...how come? I could never do that" I understand the important of my wedding rings...but at the same time I dont need to wear my rings everyday to prove that I love DH and he loves me and that we have a good relationship. Plus, if they friggin fit I would be wearing them
Even DH said, who the hell would look for that anyway?

I totally understand about not wearing them 'cause they don't fit ...
And I do think its *weird* to post a comment on your myspace page asking about it 
BUT, as someone who just got married last month, I remember when I first got engaged how much more I noticed other girls rings. I wasn't looking because I wanted to compare rings or anything, but just because it caught my attention more ... just trying to see if that might be the reason she's noticing?!

I agree with you. I notice WAY more now then I ever did, but then again after telling her over and over it's got to be getting old. My grandmother doesn't even wear a ring anymore. She says after 50yrs it just doesn't matter, and not wearing the ring doesn't mean she's not married.

The fact that she asked - isn't as annoying as the fact that she keeps asking - it's like she doesn't REMEMBER your answer!
Maybe you should start making up far fetched stories to explain the absence of your ring. That way she will be sure to remember and refrain from asking.
And I forget my ring all the time. I love my husband - but I get busy and often scatterbrained. I don't think racing out the door to get my 2 kids to school and myself to work without my wedding band reflects a weakness in our love for one another. He can't wear his to work - but I know he loves me!
And - I never had an engagement ring!

Tell her your DH took them because he's adding more BLING to them.

I have not worn my wedding ring since I was about 6 months preggo.
Many married people can wear rings, but it's what'ts behind the ring that counts!

I agree. I think I would be a b!t@h about it though and maybe have a little fun with her. Like make up a whole big story of drama (b/c apparently that is what she is looking for)....maybe that will shut her up

Ugh- that is annoying. I can't wear my rings now b/c of the awful eczema on my hands (I have had it since a baby- my hands crack and bleed and it is awful right now). You should have to explain yourself... especially more than once!

sounds like her e-ring is cutting off the ciruculation to her BRAIN. delete her pic comment and maybe she'll get the hint

I agree. What an idiot.
Rings are nice, but they are SYMBOLS!! A true depiction of marriage is a couple treat one another on a daily basis. There are plenty of married people who aren't so nice to one another, but where their rings everyday. Just as there are couples who are madly in love and treat each other wonderfully, and don't wear rings every day.

I haven't worn my real wedding rings since I was pregnant with my first - - over 4 years ago. They just don't fit. I would find it rather insulting if someone kept aasking me after I explained why.
