My grandmother sent me her christening gown for Ava.
It is so simple, but absolutely gorgeous. It was handmade in Argentina 91 years ago! Everyone on my dad's side of the family has been christened in it, and so will Ava

That's so wonderful.
I had hoped for that too but my SIL threw it out after her daughter was christened, I guess she figured we would never get married or none of the grandchildren would want to have their children christened in it either.

That's great! An amazing legacy! While I appreciated the history of my kids' christening gown (my husband's), I couldn't stand the gown itself. I'm so glad you love it!

Why would you throw away a christening outfit your child wore. I am not throwing out DS's after his christening.
