My hair is a mess....and it's hasn't even been 5 months since JHS

I have to admit- something was "off" this last time I got it done

normally I wake up with my hair looking perfect...or at least for the past 7 years of JHS

not this time- my hair has been a mess every morning- like pre-JHS

I also have alot of weird broken pieces of hair growing back- easily covered up- until it's 100% humidity and living across the street from the ocean doesn't help either

I went late March- which again is about 6 week before I normally go- so I not used to being so close to 6 months in August- maybe?????

so I booked an appointment at a different place on friday- I feel bad, like I am cheating, but my hair just doesn't feel right to me....

I have 2 trips to HOT, HUMID places coming up and I just can't take it anymore!

I hope at the new place they are able to correct your hair for you!

I can imagine how frustrating that must be!! So weird that that's happening after you have been doing it for 7 years!

Mine didn't come out the same this time around either... but I know it's because my lady used the forumla for color treated hair.. which she's never used before and I hadn't dyed my hair in like 6 months before getting JHS in June.

Mine NEVER lasts me 6 months... it's been about 2 months and it's starting to grow out... although my hair is curliest at the root, so that's why... I still let it air dry and could care less...

Have you gone to the same place for the past 7 years? Where are you trying now? Do you know people who've had good results there? Who am I kidding.. I'm sure you've done your research!

I don't color my hair...so that's not it

I have been going to the same place for the past few years- at least 3 or 4- it always came out great- and was the best I had ever experinced- until this time- it dried straight- but something just wasn't right and it didn't last- my hair has been a mess for at least 2 months- that never happened before

this time I am trying Hair Club IB based on a few people's reviews on here

I don't know if you've considered this.. but my old boss just got Brazilian. He was talking to his hairdresser and she told him that her son has SUPER curly/frizzy hair, and that she does the JHS on him, and then every 6 months she does the brazilian to give it health back and brighten and re-smooth it. She does his JHS once a year.

If it's been 6 months already, it might be worth just getting JHS again... is there regrowth?

I know some people who've have great results are Hair Village too... and if you want the name of my girl, i'd be happy to share.. she'd charge you $350 if you tell her I sent you, it's more than some places, but she is the most anal person you'll ever meet and literally makes sure it's PERFECTION before you leave the salon... she's also HILARIOUS and entertaining..

I know someone that normally does JHS and she just did brazilian for the same reason

I am giving this 1 more try and then I might try something new

Hair club IB only charges $130-$150 - I like that price- b/c this was kind of unplanned for this week (it's my running sneaker money)

That could be causing your breakage..lol

If you have a day to do it... try leaving a deep moisturizing conditioner in it all day.. rinse out at night..

I have these annoying pieces in the back of my head near my neck that ALWAYS break and just look less smooth.. I've started going to the beach with conditioner in my hair for the day and I swear I can see a difference..

I've been really disappointed with the way my hair has come out the last two times. BUT I blamed it on the highlights (that I did once last August and never again). My hair doesn't air dry straight because I still have waves at my roots plus the rest of my hair is frizzy and it takes me at least 20 minutes to blow it out.

Good luck! I am very happy with Hair Club IB. BUT they won't go over hair that was previously done, so they may not be able to fix your hair. They are going to suggest Brazillian if you want to go over it.

The same thing happened to me the last time I went! I just went in April and it's a hot mess already. I went to New Mode in Plainview and refuse to accept that it's my hair! I was going to try Top Point or Hair Club IB, so I will def be looking for your Hair Club review! Good luck Beth, I feel your pain!

You are going to LOVE hair club i.b.

First time I ever got my hair done was at Top Point and it came out horrible...I actually went back that same week to have them redo it...thank god they did it free but I vowed to never go back. I'm actually going to Hair Club I.B. this weekend to get my JHS for the 3rd time and the first two times it came out terriffic!! They're cheap, quick and the salon looks like the JHS would cost you over $500....extremely modern and clean!

Maybe all the stress you have dealt with the past 6 months has caused a change in the way your hair takes to the chemicals.

I also heard once that our hair and skin change every 7 years or so as we age. Products that once used to work great, all of a sudden don't work as well anymore. Maybe that's it.

Regardless, I hope you have a great experience at the new salon!

WOW!! I just posted on JHS too. I had the same problem as you. Went to the same place for 6 years. The 6th time I was NOT happy....it looked soo different and I cried!

Then I tried Top Point...she fixed it for me..but it was still ok...not great, but doable and I was able to work with it....

I went to New Mode last week and OMG!!!! It came out the best!!!! Best JHS ever!!!!!!

Wash and go and I NEVER had that!!!
I highly recommend them!!!
