My millionth sling question - sorry!
Heres the thing - I LOVE the Bjorn, but for the summer, I feel its very heavy and will get all sweaty. I want to get a sling, but Cailen HATES not being able to see - so he won;t be in a sling and lay there if the fabric is covering his face at all.
He has some strength where he is able to sit against my hip - so I would love a sling that could hold him against my hip and help hold his head in place a bit without covering his eyes. Does such a sling exist?

You can use ANY sling! There are so many different holds, I'm sure you can find one that he is most comfortable with.

They sell one that is for hips (it's more like the bjorn type carriers though). I've not looked into them much, but I have seen them.

read the other sling/carrier thread...i bought one for 3 hours the other day. i returned it. hahaha.

I have a ring sling and used since DD was born... You can wear in many different holds... We prefer the Mei Tai carrier. We normally face each other but do use the hip and sometimes back hold occasionally.

Buy it used, and then you can resell for the same price. Check out the forums at http://www.thebabywearer.com/ to see postings from moms looking to sell slings, I've had great experiences there!

My friend had one with her 4 month old the other day and it was amazing. I am going to get one with my next baby.
