My mom's best friend
of 65 years passed away last night.
Mom didn't get to see her recently and she's just devastated.
I'm so sad for my mom, I've been crying here at work.

Even though she lived in Florida they talked every day. Mom even talked to her daughter every day. They were so close. They grew up together, got married around the same time, had their kids..etc..
Mom lost her sister almost 20 years ago and that still hurts. Now she has no best friends left.
I wish I could do something for her.

It hurts at any age to lose a long time best friend. I lost mine 5 years ago. we were friends for almost 35 years at that point. My heart aches for your mom.
