my mother's day gift to myself
must share this even though it's only partially parenting related... I'm such a proud bargain hunter
So, as you may know, DH got his PhD last friday... Of course, we had a large formal dinner party.... I cooked everything... hot apps, duck a l'orange, chicken marsala, roasted tomato soup....
I discovered I didn't have enough serving dishes in my good china set So, I decided my mother's day gift to myself would be an additional serving dish...
of course the china is expensive... I searched ebay, and as expected, no bargains.. then I went on amazon, and wierdly, while almost every part of my pattern was priced above list, the one platter I wanted was $54.62.... so I bought 2 right away
Today, I just checked amazon again, and the price returned to $158 each!!!! It's like the amazon gods wanted me to have this gift
I'm on such a shopper's high right now!

Wow, that is great. Their pricing can be so wacky sometimes, glad it was wacky in your favor!
