My neighbor saw a Real Estate Co taking pictures of my house...
and told him that we were selling our house.
He tried to find out who they were but they wouldn't say.
I am so freaked out by this.
Who were they!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are not selling our house, not refinancing nothing like that.

Not to scare you, but i saw something on tv recently about someones house being sold without them even knowing it.
I think it has to do with credit fraud.
That is really scary.

Meaning like identity theft?

I know. Thank you very much. Chris asked your FIL about it yesterday. I can't believe it. I am hoping they just got the house mixed up or something but it is weird that they wouldn't tell him where they were from

Oh god that's horrible! Hopefully, the guy just had the houses confused. Have you spoken to any of your neighbors to see if they're selling their house?

Chances are, it was an appraiser taking pics of your house as a comp for an appraisal he is doing in the area. They always have to take pics of 3 or 4 other houses. Sometimes they knock on your door and ask you to tell them about your house too.

could just be a mis-communication
but maybe report it to the police? or the bank?

Not everyone truly listens when they are being a nosey neighbor. It's possible the appraiser said he was taking pictures for an appraisal -- so the neighbor ran with it and decided that they must be selling their house since they're up to having the appraisal done...
I'd still look into the issue, though, as I'd be concerned as well. Good luck - I hope it's nothing!!

You can call the local real estates in town and ask them if they sent anyone. My FIL said that he wishes he would of gotten the person's license plate #.
