i use dr romano - he's a neurologist in port jeff, right on main street next to the cvs. his number is 331-4377. i'm not sure if he's high risk or not, but it's worth giving him a call to find out - he's great. best of luck

Re: My neurologist called me today with my bloodwork
He is a Doctor who will tell me more if i need to get off my meds or not, My neurologist in new hyde park say's i will be ok if i do get pg while on the meds..But he wants me to also go to a High risk Neurologist who will say the same thing, because if i could Get off my meds yes it would be a good thing, but for me its a safety net to stay on it if this makes sense, if i stay on it while someday being pg, because i dont want to chance to have a seizure off of the meds. Also someday My dr is going to retire so i want to find a new Dr out here in suffolk than going to New hyde park.

I don't know of any dr.s but Im glad you got a good report. I honestly never heard of a "high risk neurologist". Are you sure he didnt mean a High Risk Dr. for when you do decide to TTC? Not a neurologist.

what medications are you on? You can look them up (if you don't know already) to see if they cross the placenta and if they would have any effect on the fetus.
