Re: My new favorite movie at the moment...
I still haven't seen this all the way through. I started to watch it with my niece but she talked through the whole thing and was telling us what was going to happen.
It does seem like a really cute movie though!

Re: My new favorite movie at the moment...
We skip over the two scary parts, though.... The scene where the shark is trying to eat him, and the other where the soda can rings are wrapped around the one penguin's neck, and he almost chokes to death... really don't want DS getting any idea... Didn't think those scenes, especially the choking one, was appropriate for the movie.

i wasnt interested in watching it at all but loved it when my niece and nephews were watching! it was so cute! i love that they sing to each other!!!!
one thing that bugged me though...nicole kidmans voice was so breathy...like she was the soft porn penguin or something.

Re: My new favorite movie at the moment...
I saw this on the plane ride to Mexico for my HM.
It was SO CUTE but I thought the ending was really weird. Do kids understand all of that?

although i agree about having kids watch those sceens, the plastic soda ring is a comment on the environment.

Oh, as an adult, I get it totally. However, my 4.5yo son probably won't..... He may re-enact scenes from the movie, and while it's cute if he does the dance steps, I'd rather not see if he'll try to re-enact that scene....
