My office threw me a work shower today!
My office was so amazing and generous - they threw such a nice surprise shower for me at the end of the work day. They gave me flowers and decorated and brought in two cakes. My unit manager gave me two boxes of about 6 or 7 outfits and a cute stuffed animal. I also got two generous gift certificates to buy stuff we still need. I was so shocked at how generous and caring they all were - I walked into a room with more than 50 people in it.
Even though I am not returning to work they all made me promise that I will bring in Kaitlyn in the fall to see them and they said I will have to bring the baby in for their christmas party and they will give the baby a gift. I am just so overwhelmed and sad - since this was my last day and I won't be returning - they made me promise to come back to them even if it isn't for 5 or 6 years. I was so lucky to have such an amazing place to work - my DH used to work in this same office before he went to law school so they make my DH and I feel like family.

I really felt lucky to work with them. I just wish that they paid better so that I could have returned to work. It is definitely a place I would go back to in a few years when the kids are in school. But for now I guess I am a SAHM.
