I think the market is slow right now. I heard that on TV. It is a beautiful house and I love West Hempstead. I wish we were looking to move
Good Luck

Re: My parents are still selling their house..
The house is lovely and looks clean but it does look like there's a ton of furniture in the rooms and it makes the rooms look small.
Also some people think that if they're spending half a mil on something they shouldn't have to redecorate every room and update the kitchen.
It's priced right though, but I think there are more picky buyers out there than in the past considering the price of homes now.

The price it is now is very inexpensive for the area. They should do well. Good luck!

You're absolutely right...they have big furniture. As well as 25 years of "stuff" accumulated throughout the house. I'm trying to convince them to rip out all the blue carpet to show off the gorgeous wood floors.

Re: My parents are still selling their house..
The market is falling. I grew up in WH and we have looked at some houses there, but to be honest, I wouldn't spend over $500k for anything that is not on a really big piece of property, unless it were in Cathedral Gardens.
They are close to the temple, though, so I am surprised they haven't had more interest.

my Dad is selling now also- he totally decluttered the place and took down a lot of stuff
I think it helps- you want people to be able to see there stuff there
