My pet is awesome because....
The Pet board has been kind of sad lately  , so many pets being rehomed and sick pets. So I thought it might be fun to do a 'just for fun' post about what makes our pets the most awesomely awesome around! I'll start (Add some of your awesome pet highlights!)
My pets are awesome because...
When I open the treat drawer, the whole gang comes running. Anabelle, Teemu and Olli sit at my feet waiting for their treat, while Jack (doesn't like the dogs) will run to the edge of our upstairs and look through the banister. It is so cute and it cracks me up everytime!
No matter how slowly and quietly I creep my car up the driveway, when I get to the top, I have three little faces peaking out the window looking and waiting for me.
When I give Olli his dinner, he does a 180 turn everytime. For some reason he thinks "spinerama" means dinner!
When I clean the litter, Jack comes running and sits next to it and watches. He is a little litter-cleaner-inspector 
Even though I have had most of them for years, I still poke DH at least 1x a day and say, OMG, look at how cute Anabelle/Jack/Teemu/Olli looks right now. He thinks I am bonkers cause he thinks they always look normal

good idea!
My pets are awesome because...
they love us unconditionally.
they always make me feel better after a bad day.
when i'm cooking or eating something and it falls, they're always there to eat it. (unless its bad for them and i shoo them away)
my yorkie brings me a slipper when i get home. (yes he only brings me one of them, and then tries to run away with it)
my boston is really lazy and mellow.
when the weather is bad, they do their business really fast outside so i dont freeze.

My cat is awsome because she just is.  She is really friendly and outgoing - she'll come out during parties.
When she has what seems to be a nightmare or something, she'll wake up and give a little yelpy meow and run right over to me.
I think it's funny how she runs interference to guide me to the cat dish in the morning to feed her.
She'll ignore me all evening but as soon as I go to bed, she's right there by my side.
I think it's really funny how she'll be catnappingn on "her chair" then suddenly jump up and run to the other side of the room then just plop down over there.

My dogs are awesome because:
There's nothing better than to see them so excited to welcome me home from work everyday
They encourage me to get out and get exercising since I have to walk them daily
They are just the cutest things ever 
They always seem to know the right time to get all cuddly and snuggly
They remind me that the simple things in life - long walks, dinnertime, seeing loved ones, getting down on the floor and playing - are worth paying attention to.

That's really funny.
If I happen to come home while DH is feeding Brinkley, he gets conflicted. He knows he's supposed to sit in his 'spot' until we put the bowl down and say 'ok go'. And food is his favorite, of course. But he wants to say hello to me too. So he will RUN full speed right at me, jump and lay a big face lick on me and then RUN back and slide into his spot.
He's also awesome because even when we have to hurt him to help him, he doesn't protest. Doesn't flinch when he gets shots. When I had to clean his red, swollen, infected ears every day, he came right to me and sat down to let me do it. Same thing when we trim the hair on his paws which he doesn't like, trim his nails, or brush his teeth.
When he gets really really happy, he blows air through his nose in little bursts. We call it snorting but he's not breathing in, he's breathing out. Friggin adorable.
He is always happy to meet people but has this sixth sense about when to be gentle. When he meets children or people who are a little apprehensive, he will stop advancing and just stand and wag his tail, maybe lick their hand, or turn in a circle so they can pet his butt.
But his favorite pet of all is when he positions himself on his back with his paws in the air, taking as much belly rubbing as you can handle. He likes to have something in his mouth when you do this, whether it's a piece of clothing, a hand, a toy... Always gentle, with a soft mouth.

Because their love for me and my hubby and each other is unconditional.
Because even though they are cats they think the are dogs and love affection, playing fetch, and snuggling.
Because seeing their precious faces every morning makes every single day start off good and seeing those faces when I get home makes even the worst days better!

Teemu does this when he is extra happy about a walk, but it is out the very corner of his mouth. It is like an indication that we are going an acceptable pace (he would prefer to run the whole time, but his mommy isn't quite that fit - haha)

my DH also thinks i'm crazy. just last night, chewy (yorkie) was laying on his back on the couch for a while which he never does. so i grabbed my camera and started taking pics with him while telling DH how cute he is. DH did this:

They love me more than I love myself.
Bruno always knows exactly how I'm feeling and reacts accordingly.
If I am truly upset, he licks my tears.
If I'm just a little down, he finds some ridiculously cute thing to do to make me laugh.
If I'm happy he's right there waiting to play and do his crazy stunts even at 8 years old.
Last year my vet advised me to put him down and that crushed my world.
I selfishly begged Bruno to stay because I never even thought about losing him.
We did everything we could to get him better and Bruno came through .
Vito is the funniest guy.
He's hyper, weird, silly and always makes us laugh.
He has the greatest voice and uses different whines to get his way with his cuteness.
I love that when we got him, he seemed to make Bruno more puppyish again.
Vito always bugs him to play, wrestle and snuggle.
They both make life so much more enjoyable.
I love them so intensely they can make me cry at the drop of a hat and I am so not a crier.

My Maggie is awesome because...
she has given me a purpose in life and loves me unconditionally 
I love when we are going outside and she sits at the door with one, and sometimes 2, of her toys in her mouth and carries them even on her walks.
She has to sit in the driver's seat when she's in the car squishing all 35 puppy pounds inbetwen meand the door. She occasionally puts her hand on the steering wheel and is known to put on the turning signal!

Rocco do this when DH get home and I am preparing his food, poor thing look so confuse
He is also awesome because no matter if I feel fat, ugly, sick He is always there to lick me and love me.
If I'm not paying attention to him he would come and try to touch my arm with one of his front paws.

Lola is awsome because she is the most respectful dog I have ever met.. Her manners are impecable.. she invites her self over to you by stretching her way to you. she has so much awsomness I can go on forever here!!!

To me they exemplify love. No hidden agendas (well maybe they want a treat here or there, can't deny that). What you see is what you get.
I have to stress for me, having a baby did NOT change me in anyway. I love my dogs just the same, maybe even more b/c I see how much they just want love and to be part of the family.

Norway is awesome because he has the best way of communicating without ever barking.
When he has to pee he slams his butt against the wall and when he has to poop he spins in circles.
When he's hungry he tap dances on the wood floor while licking his lips.
He gets soooooo excited to go to the vet that he cries.
His favorite thing in the world is the car. When we take him out first he goes to my car, then DH's car. If he realizes he's not going in the car he makes a face and starts walking away.
And he's just a big cuddle monster

They put a smile on my face no matter what I am feeling that day or night.
They cuddle with me every night.
They give me and DH love unconditionally.
They are just awesome in every way.

He is not "allowed" on the couch but everytime I come home my blanket is surprisingly warm and he is on the ground "stretching"!! So fresh and I love it!

They are my BEST friends!
I can tell them absolutely anything and trust them with the juiciest of secrets!!
They are so warm..... especially when it's cold out...
They give me a the warmest, most friendly greeting whenever I wake up, or come home from work........
And most of all....... they are awesome because they are mine

my cat Alfie is awesome because...
he plays tag with me
he is so, so gentle with my DS, who sometimes accidentally grabs handfuls of fur  and Alfie does nothing more than walk away
he would rather chase treats than eat them
his fur is as soft as the day we got him when he was 4 months old 
his favorite place to nap is the empty laundry basket
he can be the most badly-behaved cat in the world all day, but at night, he is all snuggles.

My pets are awesome because:
When I am having a bad day, my dog Petunia senses it and always gives me extra kisses and cuddles.
Petunia is so spoiled and wakes me up in the middle of the night just to get her a baby carrot and I don't even care.
My rabbit Jefferson snuggles up on the couch with us and is so content.
They fulfill our life and our family and I could never live without them

Do you sing that to them too? You are my Briiiinkley, my only Brinkley, you make me happyyyy when skies are graaaaay
I thought of another one this morning. I lay my sweatpants over the back of my chair every night before I go to sleep. In the morning when Brinkley is saying hello, he ducks under the hanging pants so they lay on his head and his back and stands there for a second.
I swear, he must have been some kind of fashionista model in another life.

Dominick is awesome cause he lets me do anything to him, I mush him constantly and he never says a word.. Hes an attention *****..
I got him right after my divorce and just moved into my new home, he stayed up with me all night and purred in my lap the first tough months...
I love when he uses the litter and comes running out "like I did it I did it"
I love waking up in the morning and trying to find where he slept for the night, he has a habit of opening cabinet doors and sleeping in there.
He just cracks me up, he loves to hide and play chase...
