My poor Avery!
On Tuesday we had a floor in the apartment. Avery, our gray tiger cat, HATES water. She hid in the corner until all the water was cleaned up (for about an hour and a half). Wednesday she started throwing up, and I mean EVERYWHERE! It was about 10 times in one day, at least. I ran her right to the vet because I was concerned about her and was hoping she didn't get into the cabinet where our cleaning stuff is or eat something on the balcony (she pried the door open a little more and snuck out while DH was napping).
The vet couldn't find anything but gave us an anti-inflammatory prescription and told us to try this different food (Hills Prescription Diet). They didn't have a small bag and the big bag was $33 (we just spend $500 on the vet and who knows what will happen with this flood now) so we bought the wet food. Well now, this weekend and is my birthday and DH and I are going out east until Sunday. I can't leave wet food out all weekend. It will get gross. We gave her a little bit of her old dry food overnight to hope that maybe it was just something she ate on Wednesday and it would be over. No such luck, she threw up on her bed last night. So I'm thinking about going to the store and getting that big bag of the Hills Prescription Diet. But I don't know what to do.
I'm scared to leave her all weekend but I can't back out of the out east trip (the union we are in owns the property and we got special permission to go out there this weekend so I can't change it). So you think that it's a waste to get the dry food or I should try it? I'm going to pick it up around 10:30AM today and will be home around 1 after a dr appt. So she can try it from 1PM-6PM (when we leave). Do you think that's enough time to see if this dry food makes her sick too? She's been ok on the wet food (we think). I just want her to feel better (although she doesn't act sick but the throwing up and at 7 months pregnant it's hard to bend and clean it up)!!!!!

There is one person that lives in our building that has my apt keys. Maybe I'll text her to ask her if she can just check in on my little mama at some point tomorrow. I just feel bad that if she DID throw up again, this person would have to clean it up.

throw this person a few bucks and then you don't have to feel bad just let them know that your cat hasn't been feeling well and there is a chance that avery might vomit--ask if they would mind cleaning it up---I don't think it would be a problem!
