my poor boy-edit, his eye is much better!
James is two weeks old today. This morning when he woke up he had these eye boogies and his one eye was all red. We had his pediatrician appt today. She prescribed some gel for me, I have to put it in his eye 4 times a day. If it's not better by tomorrow, he has to go to the opthamologist. I hope it's nothing, I just feel so bad for the little guy. Plus tonight is the first night DH had to go back to work since I gave birth, so I'm a little nervous about this being my first night alone with the baby (even though I've been the one getting up with him, it's still nice to know he's here just in case!) Thanks for listening.

Re: my poor boy
Maybe he has a clogged tear duct? DD had this in the beginning and it cleared up.
Hope your first night alone goes well

Re: my poor boy
My daughter had problems with one of her eyes for months and we were prescribed all kinds of drops and had to bring her to an opthalmalogist, and you know what? It went away on its own, as predicted by my pediatrician, by around 6 months... it's quite common actually - usually from a clogged tear duct

Re: my poor boy
My DD has the same thing..and from a clogged tear duct...it had gone away for weeks and unfortunately just came back and worse than before....we are taking her to an eye doc in the next few weeks....its such a pain as you feel so bad cleaning their eyes that much...but it has to be done.
Hope it clears up

Re: my poor boy
Thanks ladies! The Dr. said the crusties could be a clogged tear duct, but gave me the drops because his eye was red, too. I'm hoping tomorrow it looks much better! We'll see, I hope it's not a continuous thing.
