My poor Peanut
I felt soooo bad for my lil Peanut late last night. We went to PA this weekend for my cousins wedding. He was terrific in the car rides, and was nice and quiet during the ceremony. It was sooo hot there, and it's not l.ike LI ... its just hot stale air there. Well, we went to bed late lastnight... he was chippy as could be since so many people were sourrounding him LOL. When we went to bed, he was out instantly... and me shortly after. Sure enough, I woke up about an hour later from him whimpering... I thought he was just having a bad dream or something, so I went to go pick him up and soothe him. Sure enough he started really crying... like a shreiking cry. First thing I did was check every body part for a piece of my hair to be wrapped around him and it was huriting him. Nothing. It was about 20 mins later, and still I couldn't find anything. I never heard him cry like that, and I was panicing. Sure enough, I decidedx to just try to change his diaper...that usually cheers him up when he's cranky. He seemed fine till I looked up at the inner theigh...it was swallen like never before, and soo red. OMG I felt soo bad for the little guy. It wasn't like that when he went to bed, so I instantly thought it was from his diaper. Yes, I still use Pampers. Now, nothing is open that late in PA, so I had to deal with another Pamper going on him. I was paniced. So I put cream on his rash, even some powder, and cuddle with him once again. He was still shrieking and crying... I started to cry with him b/c I felt so helpless. A few seconds later he finally started to calm down, and it turned to little whimpers. Then drifted back to sleep. Took me a good hour or two for me to get back to sleep. First thing in the morng I checked the rash, and sure enough, the rash was gone. Whew. I just never acually expirenced a rash with him yet, and felt soo scared. It ended up not being from the diapers...it was just a heat rash (yep, I actually called the Ped and explained it LOL. I just never felt to helpless as a Mother, and I never want to feel like that again .... I'm so glad he's ok now tho.

Could it have been a bug bite or heat rash? DS woke up crying the other night at 1230am. It took me over 30 minutes to calm him down. It sucks when you don't know how to console them.....I am glad he was better today...

Yeah, it was terrible. I know through the years that will happen again, that feeling, but I'm gonna hope as long as possible that it doesn't... wow. He woke up all smiles, like usual, so I was soooo relieve.

I'm glad peanut is feeling better this morning! That is scary!
Oh, I once found a hair wrapped around DS's toe, so I'm glad you had the wits to even check! Very smart move, JIC. :)
