My rant of the day
I very rarely dry clean my clothes, but I absolutely HATE ironing, so I finally took a bunch of stuff to the cleaners yesterday. Well when I got my clothes back, I look at the bill and they charged me $4 per shirt! A lot of my work shirts are cotton oxford type shirts, just like DH's (except more girly  ) and his are only $2 per shirt. This just makes me SO mad!!!!

that's weird that they would be a different price. the cleaners i use, shirts are 4 bucks. period.

My pants were the same price as his to clean, so why they charge more for shirts, I don't know. On the ticket it said "blouses", so maybe they think they can charge more because of that

Our dry-cleaner does ths as well.
Apparently, it's because women's shirts are more "delicate" than mens shirts.

this is exactly why I either buy wrinkle free shirts or suck it up and iron. NO WAY am I paying $4 to clean a shirt I can wash at home! RIP OFF

My cleaner does that too. Because mine have to be "dry cleaned" and his can be washed.

The first dry cleaner we went to used to tell me that my shirts required a special machine apparently this magic machine also shrinks them and eats buttons.

I just put them with DH's shirts and tell them to launder them. I refuse to pay extra to dry clean button down shirts.

Yes I always get charged more for blouses...its bc the bottom is more contoured
ETA: I hate paying extra so I just iron my shirts using the starch spray...they come out mint!

I saw a special on this, one of those nightline type shows. It was on the absurd inequity between men's and women's dry cleaning. Its nuts that we get charged more!!!
