My review of the Nowegian Crown
Well I got back this morning from my 7 night cruise to Bermuda on the Norwegian Crown. This is my 4th time cruiseing but my first time with NCL and all I can say is "HORRIBLE". This was the worst cruise/vacation i have ever been on. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone especially those with little ones. The food was terrible....more than half of the crew was brain dead......one night it took almost 45 minutes for someone to bring us a high chair for our daughter....it was so bad that DH had to leave dinner and take her back to the room because we couldn't eat with her not being in a chair. It always took about 20 minutes to get a cup of milk for DD and we always had to ask for things more than once. The waiters/waitresses never got an order right and always brought us the wrong things. Two days into the cruise about 50 passengers broke out with the Norwalk Virus and had to be quarantened in their rooms. Then the rest of the cruise we were all treated like we had the plague....we had to sanitize our hands every two feet we walked and we were no longer able to get our own coffee, juice ect....we had to wait on a line behind a ropped area and a persin with gloves on would get it for us......this was the same if you choose to eat at the buffet.......I would never take NCL again. i would have rather stayed home and saved my money.

That stinks. Sorry you had a bad time. I never sailed NCL but have always hated dealing with them. Their CS and booking is worse then the waiters and waitresses you dealt with. One time they swore I had paid everything and I know I havent. They released documents and I insisted the cabins were not paid in full. Well 4 months later when the agency got the commission guess what NCL did, they decided to keep the commission and used the commission to pay for the rest of the cabins b/c they thought we were accepting cash and was keeping the commission in house (we weren't. I was paying by the customers cc) and all we got a letter thanking us for our business.

I had taken the Norweigan Crown last year to Bermuda and it was our first cruise. While our experience was nothing as bad as yours I was not impressed at all. I thought the boat was small, there was nothing to do, etc. I loved Bermuda but did not like the cruise at all and DH and I are hesitant to ever do another one.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad time...
Don't be hesitant about taking another cruise....DH and I love cruising and had 2 great experiences with Royal carribean and i enjoyed Carnival too.

uuugh sorry to hear it was so bad!
I have not heard good things about NCL
My parents always take Holland America & Princess and LOVE them! I have taken Carnival before and was happy with it.

That stinks!! I cruise alot too, and was not impressed by NCL at all. I hope you at least had a nice time in Bermuda.

When friends ask me which cruiselines to recommend I never tell them NCL - I have too many friends and family who didn't like them.
Unfortunately the Norwalk is on all the cruiselines - but it is usually better this time of the year - the steps they take to contain it are recommended by CDC.

I am so sorry you had a bad experience but I have to agree about NCL. We went on our HM cruise aboard the NCL Dawn & were very disappointed. Lucky enough we have cruised 3 times prior on Princess & Disney, so it did not deter us from future cruises. My husband & I found their service to be below average & the selection of food was very plain & ordinary.
