My ring is stuck on!!! Update! ;)
My pregnancy app this morning said if your rings are starting to feel snug, you should be taking them off now because women have ended up in the ER for rings that are on too tight. (that part, sounded a little crazy me ..) Anyway I figured it wasn't a bad idea because my rings were starting to feel pretty tight lately and I've just ignored it figuring I'll be able to pry them off when I want to. Well ..... getting my engagement ring off this morning was an absolute ordeal!! I had to force it off with all my might with my hand in cold water, it took a while and now my finger is pretty swollen from messing with it.
Well... my wedding band is even TIGHTER. I have no idea how I will get it off. I honestly didn't think I'd get my other ring off, but I managed somehow.
I have to say it's pretty sad that I know this is it for those rings till after the baby comes. I've never gone a day without wearing them in 5 years but now I literally have no choice. Anyway, what do I do now with my wedding band? I don't even think ice water and dish soap will do the trick and my concern is that once I start trying to get it off, my finger will swell and get irritated the way it did with my engagement ring, and then it will REALLY feel uncomfortable to have it on. Uhh what are my options here? I kid you not my finger looks like a sausage with the ring on now .... My dh who thought I was overreacting just saw a pic I texted him and he was SHOCKED because neither of us noticed how bad it was before.
So ..... what do I do?

I was going to be all like I GOT IT OFF 
but seriously .. I feel so sad and sorta naked without it  I was actually tempted to put it back on I can't believe that the next time I have those rings on, my  will be here!
And .. for those who are curious .. I waited for my hands to get cold and just pulled hard. It was easier than I thought.
Please ladies, check your rings often and the moment they get snug, do yourself a favor and take them off and swap 'em out for something fake.

I feel like I've heard peanut butter works. But I'm not 100% sure. Maybe worth a shot?

try taking them off in the early am- run your hands under the coldest water you can get going through the faucet and soap up your hands good and see if it will come off that way... later in the day you (or at least I) tend to swell more
you can always get a temp ring at claires until the rings fit again- I did that for my first pregnancy because I was afraid I'd look like an unwed teenage mom

My rings would fall off when my hands were really cold. Otherwise maybe avoid all salt for a day and try the next morning? I hope it comes off!

I had broken my finger and needed my rings off for surgery, i freaked out and was so upset to cut my ring
Long story short, Ice your finger and then use baby oil
It DEF worked for me and my knuckle was beyond broken

oh no!! i've heard PB works too but have never tried it. i've had my rings off since about 14 weeks. it makes me sad too since i've also never gone a day without them. i hope it comes off!

That happened to me when I was pregnant with Anthony. I had to use lots of soap and it eventually came off. I bought a fakie from Claire's too!

This happened to me with my rings when I tried to put them on too early post-partum. I called my jeweler who is a friend to tell her I was coming in for her to cut them off of me. She said to try this first and it worked:
Don't try again until tomorrow morning.
Don't eat anything with salt today/tonight.
When you are ready to try again,
Hold your hand under cold water for a few minutes
Spray your finger and ring with windex
Hold your hand up so that your fingers are pointing to the ceiling.
Try to stay calm while you are pulling it off
If it doesn't work, wait again for the next day. the more pulling you do, the more aggravated and swollen the finger will become.

Same thing happenned to me! Don't aggrivate it. Just wait until your hands get cold and try then.
For me, I couldn't do it in the morning, that's when my hands were the most swollen for some reason.
Stand outside in the cold for a little bit.

I think tomorrow I'll try this but with baby oil instead of windex..
Literally just yesterday I asked my dh what I will do if I have to get a csection and they need all jewelry off (and I'm not due for another 4 months) .. and like 24hrs after that convo I realized there's no way I'd make it another 4 months with my rings on anyway

I put my rings on yesterday for my maternity shoot, it only took a few seconds to realize that was a horrible idea! i ran my hand under cold water and soaked my had in dish soap they finally came off! I say wait till morning and try again, you finger is probably a mess from getting the ering off! Just wait and then ice before trying!

Well I've had my rings on my finger for the last 16 years, and went through 2 csections with them on, and will have a 3rd with them on in September. Not worried

This happened to my SIL! It ended up getting cut off!! I think she may have waited too long..but I've heard that Ice Water does work. and I def would try the olive oil method. I have been watching how the rings feel on my finger. No one should have to loose their rings..especially their wedding bands!!!

Wait until later in the day. My fingers are generally a little more swollen in the morning. By evening my rings are usually sliding on my fingers again. See if that helps. Also, put your hands in cold water.

windex helped me my last pregnancy when i waited too long to take mine off. i sprayed the shit out of my finger, in addition to ice and ice water and dishwashing soap. good luck!!! i know how stressful it can be

Avoid salt for a few days and drink A LOT of water. This should help with any excess swelling. Then try taking your rings off when you aren't warm. Soak your hand in cold water and try using dish soap to lubricate your hand. It should come off that way. Also, don't do it first thing in the AM as you tend you be swollen then from lying/not moving all night.

Hi pennycat!! I'm so happy to see you on here!! I hope you got your ring off. I also got a ring stuck on and I could not get it off, finally the only thing that worked was olive oil. It still hurt like crazy trying to get it off but that's the only thing that worked

I have to be honest after reading your first post I took mine off. DH bought me a cheepo ring from etsy and I wear that now. It's adjustable.
