My second wedding question...
You guys were amazing last week with all the suggestions so here is my second venue question.
We have decided that we want a really small wedding in NYC. Just us, family and really close friends...about 50 people. We will hire a rabbi and get married in central park (standing room only) and then have a cocktail party/dinner afterwards. No band or anything like that.
Now my first choice is the central park boathouse...would be perfect and they can accomodate. However I need other back up places to check out when we are in NYC next week.
Any suggestions of where i can get a room for 50 people for a nice intimate dinner?
Thanks again.

The Light House @ Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers
I went to a wedding there about the same size, maybe a little bigger but def less than 100 people. The view was gorgeous and the food was really good - they did a kind of steakhouse theme for the buffet dinner (filet, creamed spinach, roasted potatoes, etc). I can't remember specifics on the cocktail hour but again, think it was really delicious - I can mostly just remember the Veuve Cliquot!!
