My SIL is preggo!!!
On Monday my SIL announced that she was preggo.
Im so happy for her, especially since she had been trying for almost a year, and she had been on a couple different meds to help her get preg. (she ended up getting preg. after her first "round" of clomid)
When she went for her sono on Monday they determined she was 5 weeks 6 days- the tech mentioned to my SIL that she "wouldve liked to see a yolk"" but SIL's Dr. reassured her that she was still early and that they'd do another sono on Friday to see how she was progressing... I know they did blood work to see if her levels were doubling like that should as well...(I dont think she got any results back though)
My Sil is a nervous wreck, and I feel terrible for her... I remember being at that early stage and not having any m/s and "not feeling preggo" and being so scared something was wrong; I cant imagine being in her shoes, and being told "I wouldve like to see etc.."- so I really wanna give her some words of encouragement (other than, it'll will be ok and have faith)
I know her progestorone levels are really high (not sure if that means anything- since my Dr never discussed levels with me)
Is it really too early? Please tell me everything is going to be ok...
If there is a loss it will devaste her and the rest of the family...

Re: My SIL is preggo!!!
it is possible that it is way too early to see something!! i am guessing they know when she O'd but she could have jusst had a late implanter. tons of women on this board didn't see anything under 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat around 7 or 8 weeks. i will send lots of that your SIL has a happy and healthy 9 months!!

Re: My SIL is preggo!!!
Well with DS I went for a sono at around 6 weeks and the tech was surprised to see a heartbeat. So I think in about a week or two she will get a better picture. I remember those feelings too and being nervous for every dr.'s appointment until you felt the baby and that feeling sticks. Lots of for her.
